Michaëlle Jean

Who is she?
Michaëlle Jean worked for eight years with Quebec shelters for battered women, while actively contributing to the establishment of a network of emergency shelters throughout Quebec and elsewhere in Canada.

Definition: someone who pressure government for change by breaking the law in a non-violent manner.

Nelson Mandela

Who was he? (1 sentence)
Nelson Mandela was the first black man to be elected president of South America.

How was he a role model? (3 sentences)
He spoke a speech out to everyone in South America about human rights, once we got out of jail. Nelson was in jail for about 4years, than written a speech about why black people can't vote for the elections. He was about in he late 70's when he voted for the first time than became South Americas first president.
